Get You Someone Who Can Read The Labels Before Shooting You Up
-
At a care home for developmentally disabled adults, someone gave the residents flu shots, except they weren't flu shots; the doctor or pharmacist or whomever gave them insulin, sending 10 to the hospital once attendants figured out why they were on the floor in agony (many are non-verbal). I saw this item and thought about how we're all happy to get flu shots at the grocery store or wherever, and we aren't thinking about how in most cases, the person administering the shot is not a doctor. I mean, I get mine at the pharmacy at Ralphs; I trust the pharmacist, but, still, I'm getting a shot from a non-doctor. Ever get nervous about that? (CNN)
