One Third Sleeping, One Third Working, One Third... Um... Let's Not Talk About That
-
This guy's keeping a record of everything he does over a 10 year period. Seriously, he's writing it all down in journals, to the minute, and transferring it all into an Excel spreadsheet. Why? He's a scientist and he wants to see if it helps him live more effectively by learning how to accomplish everything better. He's just one of the "self-trackers" out there, who call the practice the "Quantified Self," and he's almost done with the experiment, just three months to go, and he claims it's helped him better understand how he was spending time and how that affected him. He also says it helped him manage stress and change his habits like how he commutes. What would you find if you kept a record of every single moment of your life? (BBC)
