Pain Doesn't Always Have A Visual Component
-
This article is your periodic reminder that you shouldn't jump to conclusions when you see someone with a handicapped placard or license plate that seems to be walking OK. In this case, a woman confronted another woman with a placard in a pharmacy parking lot, angry that it appeared that the woman with the placard wasn't disabled. But she is disabled, specifically with dysautonomia, a nervous system disorder that affects heart rate, blood pressure, and sweating, which means that at times she can't walk very far because she can't breathe. But you can't necessarily SEE that, so don't assume, okay? (KSL/Salt Lake City)
