No Peanuts For You

The head of Southwest Airlines has been adamant: They'll never offer one of those "basic economy" ultra-no-frills, everything-costs-extra fares. Guess what the airline appears to be surveying customers about? Yes, the introduction of a basic economy fare. Now, the questions indicate that Southwest's may be less basic than other airlines' no-frills seats, maybe allowing you to, say, bring a carry-on aboard. But how much less can you get on a Southwest flight, anyway? Will they make you wait until 30 seconds before takeoff to board and find a seat? (USA Today)
