Hope He Grows Up To Be The Third McKenzie Brother

This article offering answers to questions about Harry, Meghan, and Archie possibly moving to Canada leads with the question, "Will royal baby Archie grow up with a Canadian accent?" I don't care what the answer is, because the question's more universal. Do you have an accent, and how did you acquire it? Because it's not always from your parents. Mine is a mess of New Jersey ("chawklit"), Philadelphia (multi-syllabic "o," various lazy shortcut pronunciations), and my mom, a Holocaust survivor whose accent comes out in mine when I'm really tired and inadvertently pronounce "th" sounds as "t." I don't necessarily hear an accent, mind you, but everyone tells me I have one, so I must. How did your voice come about? (Toronto Star)
