Hard Water's Something Different. I Know, You're Disappointed

Hard cider was the start. Then it was hard lemonade, then hard energy drinks. Now, the hot thing is hard seltzer, and they're making hard coffee and hard kombucha (which becomes hard kombucha if you let it continue to ferment, anyway), which means that there's big business in making alcoholic versions of non-alcoholic drinks. Does everything have to be "hard"? Also, why "Bud Light Seltzer"? (Washington Post)
