Another Case For Staycations
-
Speaking of cruises and coronavirus, that and norovirus aren't the only things you can get sick from on a cruise ship. This poor kid got a cut, and then a raging case of sepsis, and because they were on a cruise that didn't require passports, the family couldn't get off the boat in Mexico for treatment and had to keep the kid in the on-board infirmary, which was not ideal and, well, here's something I did not know: If you get sick and need treatment from the ship's infirmary, they bill you a lot and they want payment before you get off the ship, in this case almost $14,000. The cruise line relented and finally let them off in Florida as long as they pay up within 10 days. This all kinda tells me not to go on cruises, to be honest with you. (WFTS-TV/Tampa)
