They'll Survive As Long As The Good Wine Is Still Available
-
This couple is among the five Americans who are stranded on an Amazon cruise in Peru because of coronavirus. They have to wait out a quarantine until March 31st at the earliest. It's about as luxurious a quarantine as you'd want: Nobody's tested positive, it's a small 26-passenger boat with white-linen dinner service, the A/C works, the staff's still healthy... but the captain and two other crew members left the boat for "emergency reasons" not disclosed to the passengers, who were only told it was "protocol" once the boat was docked. Here's the thing: The cruise launched on March 10th. The coronavirus crisis was in full swing. 10 of the 15 passengers booked for the cruise bailed out. Would you have gone ahead?
