Might Be Easier To Get A Reservation, Now That Nobody Wants One
-
As some areas of the country reopen, restaurants are dealing with the fact that, with restrictions and new public fears and attitudes, they can't do business the way they used to do it. It's not just the spacing of tables. It's single-serve condiments. It's sneeze guards. It's touchless payment. It's masks and gloves. It's the end of the salad bar, the buffet, and practically all self-serve things. Some prominent restaurateurs say they can't do business that way, so we may see waves of permanent closures. And if they're opening too soon and there's another wave of coronavirus cases, there may be no future at all for traditional restaurants. This is not good. (Washington Post)
