It's been a matter of debate for years: how much water should one drink every day? The usual answer is 8 or 10 8-oz. cups, but that's not quite the answer, because a) there's no science to it and b) other things -- soup, for example -- count as liquids (although alcohol does not). So... I guess the recommendation from the Institute of Medicine would be as close as anything, 91 ounces of liquids for women and 125 ounces for men. More if you sweat it off a lot. Just not too much, lest you get hyponatremia. Anyway, how much are you drinking? (CNN)
