What's The Difference? You Haven't Been Going Out Anyway

Wallethub does a lot of "top cities for..." lists, and they're usually way, way off, because they factor in things normal humans don't, like bike rentals and stuff like that. And I suppose that's why their list of best cities for "staycations" is topped by... Plano, Texas. No, really. Now, I've been to Plano several times and there's nothing particularly wrong with it, but there's nothing particularly special about it, either. It's a suburb. It's between Dallas and Frisco. It's #2 for "Rest and Relaxation," mostly because there's not a lot to do there so you'll ger a lot of rest. The highest-ranked California city is Santa Clarita at 72, and that's what you get if you've never ever BEEN to Santa Clarita. Los Angeles is at 133 and California generally dominates the bottom of the list, and if that means you aren't staycationing here, well, more sun and quiet and good food delivery for me. (Wallethub)
