I don't really know what benefits you're supposed to get from the 2,000 year old Taiwanese tradition of knife massage, which is exactly what it sounds like - someone uses sharp cleavers to pound your head and body, and I guess they're expert enough at it (using a blanket over your skin) to avoid cutting you. Sure, you laugh and say there's no way you'd do it, but a lot of people said that about acupuncture and now it's way more common. (BBC)
