This guy got into baseball cards in 1996 as an 8-year-old. Today, he has a world record for baseball cards from one team, 17,554 Kansas City Royals cards, part of a 50,000-card collection. As someone who collected baseball cards in his youth and still has a lot of them today, I'm always surprised that people still collect them. After the boom and bust of the '90s and early '00s, and with baseball's decline into "your grandfather's game," it's interesting that the card industry is still alive, if not what it used to be.
