Eat, Drink And Be Merry, For Tomorrow We'll Be On A Ventilator

Coulda predicted this, but for some reason not everyone is clear about this, so read it slowly if you have to: The spike in California's COVID-19 hospitalizations is being driven by the numbers in the four Southern California counties that rushed to reopen. Ventura and Orange Counties were the first to reopen despite the numbers still rising, and now they're spiking. San Bernardino and Riverside Counties are also spiking. You saw what Orange County beaches were like once they were reopened, and you know that these counties are home to small but very loud right-wing anti-vaxxer anti-mask groups who pressured county officials to open everything up. Common sense is not being exhibited. And we will all pay for it. (Los Angeles Times)
