Big Mid-Level Corporate Functionary Is Watching You
-
Last week, we talked about how CEOs are mixed about remote work. Here, we have an article talking about how managers are increasing surveillance of home workers. They're requiring webcams switched on, having software installed to spy on employees, checking Slack and Teams for activity and when employees are logging in... or maybe just texting or instant-messaging you at random times just to see if you're working. If you're working remotely, how much does this bother you? And if you're a manager, are you watching what your employees are up to? Is there any privacy left? (The Guardian)
