It Can Happen Here

Yeah, I know, I don't get too political here (that's what Twitter and Facebook are for, right?), but I just want to put this one out there, that Trump, apart from the virus thing, did something last week at his Duluth rally that bears scrutiny: He once again touted the "racehorse theory" of genetics, which amounts to eugenics. That should scare and appall you. That we live in a time when a President can say this stuff and not immediately be disqualified from showing his face in public again speaks volumes about how far we've fallen. Maybe it's that I'm the son of a Holocaust survivor and our family was devastated by the kind of genetics theory being espoused by Trump, but this shouldn't just be ignored. Okay, soapbox safely stowed away. For now. (Los Angeles Times)
