In Case You're Looking For An Excuse To Get The New One
-
Just when we've started to get used to not upgrading our phones every two years because the old ones work fine, the phone makers and carriers have tackled that problem with gusto, and, as USA Today's Jefferson Graham notes, it might make more financial sense to upgrade every year. Why? Because of the trade-in deals. You can get the latest and greatest at low or no cost if you're trading in the most recent prior model. Want a cheap iPhone 12? Trade in an 11. So, every year. (Incidentally, I just traded in a 7 Plus and a 6 Plus, and the trade-ins were pretty good for four and five year old phones. So maybe there are good reasons to just pay off and keep the old ones, but you may not get a better deal once the old ones get too old.) (USA Today)
