Because Everyone Can Use A New Friend

People have been adopting pets during the pandemic in such numbers that the shelters are running out of pets. This is good for the animals, who are being rescued, as long as you're adopting for life and not just for companionship during the pandemic. And it's because people who are working from home, or just isolating, know they'll be home to bond with and take care of their pets. That's good, too.
