I Got Degrees, But You Wouldn't Want Me To Try And Fix Your Car

This article is about something that's been an issue for several years: employers requiring four-year college degrees for jobs that shouldn't require them. It's possibly a function of more college graduates having to go for jobs that didn't attract them in the past. Or it's laziness by recruiters. Or both. And we all know people who never graduated yet are miles ahead of actual graduates in ability and intellect. Why should a degree be a requirement for ANY job unless it specifically involves things you can only learn by completing a degree program? (BBC)
