The job market sucks, so it might be a little maddening to see articles like this one proclaiming that "many" workers who lost their jobs during the pandemic have landed higher-paying jobs since then. The source for this one is a survey by an online invoice company, encompassing a sample of 1,000 workers, which doesn't seem adequate. Key note: They admit that "several million" Americans have stopped looking for work and were not included in the survey because they're not counted in the unemployment rate. Okay, then, has anyone in your audience rebounded with a more lucrative job? How did they find those jobs, and what advice would they give to laid-off workers? (USA Today)
