Strangest Side-Effect Yet

The boom in housing sales in the early days of the pandemic -- people panicked and bought homes at high prices, apparently wanting to move away from crowded conditions or out into the country -- has led, the Wall Street Journal says, to a wave of regrets, second thoughts, if-I-had-it-to-do-all-over-again stuff. Some slapped their money down to grab a house before doing due diligence in fears someone else would get it, then discovered problems or just that they didn't like the house. And now, they own a house they don't want. It's not like they can just return it to the seller, and selling it for what they paid or more is tricky. What's the purchase you've regretted the most?
