Do Not Pass Go

You may not ever have noticed this, but I'll bet some people who are familiar with the real-life Atlantic City and its history have: There's a racial component to the land values on the Monopoly board, and you can probably figure it out yourself. Suffice to say that Boardwalk and Park Place were always the top commercial spots, the green and yellow spaces high-rent or closer to the Ventnor border, and Baltic and Mediterranean... the game's creators were not subtle in picking the color of those spots. Does knowing that make you feel a little worse about playing the game, worse than even the fact that nobody has ever actually FINISHED a game of Monopoly? (The Atlantic)
