You'll Forget It The Monent You Show Up On Campus For Freshman Year
-
It is undeniably difficult for kids to deal with life right now. One of the things being noted as a challenge is dealing with college acceptances and rejections when you're not in school to see your friends and get support or commiseration. I'm trying to identify with this -- it's been a long, long, LONG time since I got my college and law school responses -- but as I recall, I just got the letters and didn't really have any interaction with anyone other than my family until the next day, when it went like "I got into (college) but (other college) rejected me" and my friends said "oh, OK" and told me where they had gotten in, and we all moved on with our day. No hugs, no "sorry," no nothing. Has the acceptance and rejection thing become that much of a big deal that it requires a large group of people to process it? (USA Today)
