And All The Hot Dogs You Could Eat
-
When I was a kid, I always thought it would be cool to live in a ballpark -- why, you could just fall out of bed and see a game! -- but I grew out of that pretty quickly when I thought about how annoying the crowds and noise would be. But this guy claims that he actually lived in a secret apartment in a Veterans Stadium concession stand for three years in the late '70s, and he's written a book about it. He worked there, thanks to a cousin, and he found a space behind a little-noticed concession stand in left field and he just moved in, throwing parties and otherwise going unnoticed by officials. (Let us not even think about the rats that lived in the Vet. Or... well, it was a dump, but OUR dump, so let's move on.) If you could go undetected, where would you camp out? (Philadelphia Inquirer)
