Why Mickey Drives A Maybach
-
Disneyland has always been expensive. Now, as the pandemic eases and the park is readying its reopening, it'll be more expensive, and arguably TOO expensive for most families. No annual passes for now, no discounts, just full-price, which was already $154 per person for one day, one park and $209 for one day at both Disneyland and California Adventure, and YOU tell the kids you won't spring for fifty more bucks each so they can go to the "Cars" ride. When annual passes come back, it looks like there might nott be a monthly payment option either. It's supply and demand, but it means that you have to be fairly wealthy to go, or decide that a day at the park for the family is worth more to you than, say, the college fund, or fixing the house. Is this fair? Is Disney increasingly becoming a thing for the wealthy? (SFGate.com)
