Vancouver is spending $645,000 on a public toilet in a park, and critics are howling that they could spend that money on other things that have experienced budget cuts, like, say, arts programs. I'd argue that there's nothing quite as critical as having adequate public bathroom facilities. Whether it should cost that much, I don't know, but every city DOES need more clean, safe, accessible bathrooms. (CTV)
