And Then There's Eating Too Much Junk, A Tradition Like No Other
-
Oh, I love this one: it's an article with lists of major league ballpark traditions, from mascots to sausage races to home run celebrations to seventh inning stretch songs. Does your team ham it up? "Sweet Caroline" or "Thank God I'm a Country Boy?" Phanatic or Orbit? Or are you a fan of a team with practically none of that? Here, neither the Dodgers nor Angels have mascots or home run celebrations (flashing lights and jumbotron/ribbon board animation don't count), but the Phillies, my team, has all of it, including the Phanatic, the Liberty Bell home run celebration, and the late Harry Kalas' "High Hopes" after wins. Makes it just a little more fun. Fun is good. (Washington Post)
