What Did Those Couches Ever Do To You To Deserve That, Anyway?

Okay, I still, after all these years, don't get it. The latest example of "it" is this celebration by UCLA fans after they made it into the Final Four: setting couches on fire in the street. Why? I know, it happens everywhere when a team wins a big game. I was personally in the presence of furniture being flung out dorm windows on campus when Villanova won the 1985 NCAAs, and I did see flames, too. But why? Of all the ways to celebrate, why burn things? (KABC-TV/Los Angeles)
