Won't Be The Same If It's No Longer Illicit
-
It's been illegal to walk on the Bay Area's infamous Secret Sidewalk until now, but it looks like it will be open to the public as a park soon. And that will bring an era to an end: The walkway, actually the exposed concrete of a former aqueduct, was where teens would go to do stuff their parents would never allow them to do. Yeah, it was one of THOSE places, and every town had 'em: Spots in the woods, abandoned factories, alleys adults didn't know existed, places where stoners and lovers and others looking for a place to hang out and not be hassled by police or adults could go. What was your secret place? (SFGate.com)
