You Can Just Reuse The Rings

Under Taiwan's law, companies have to give employees eight days of paid leave when they get married. But when the law was written, nobody thought it necessary to put a limit on how many times you could take advantage of it. And so one couple decided to jump right through that loophole by marrying four times and divorcing three times in the space of 37 days, thus claiming 32 days of leave. And the bank tried to fight it and got fined as a result (the fine was revoked, because everyone agrees that the situation is ridiculous). Maybe they should revisit that law. And maybe you can talk about taking advantage of other loopholes. (Agence France-Presse via CTV)
