Maybe We Should Just Text Each Other

Has Zoom conferencing damaged our ability to have a conversation? Here's the theory: In person, there's a flow of conversation, and people can interrupt and embellish and otherwise speak naturally. With Zoom conferences, it's always one at a time and a lot of "no, that's all right, you talk" and awkward silences, because the verbal and visual cues are different and somewhat stilted. You wait your turn. Is that what you've been experiencing? How long will it take for us to be able to converse the old-fashioned way once this is all over? (Washington Post)
