You Can Add 'Filing Of Pointless Paperwork' On Your Resume
-
The easing of the pandemic has led more states to reinstate the requirement that people collecting unemployment insurance payments prove they're looking for work, which is a pain in the butt and also... well, if you've collected unemployment in the past, you know how pointless those looking-for-work requirements are. It seems like busy work, doesn't it? You fill out a form and dutifully send it off, and it's never checked and it's not even appropriate in some businesses when there aren't any jobs out there anyway. Besides, if you're forced to apply for jobs outside your career track that pay less and will be actually negative on your resume for future employment in your field, is that beneficial to anyone?
