Okay, so, we all know that a lot of us have been afflicted with burnout. The question is what to do about it, and this article tries to define what "burnout" actually means (emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and a diminished sense of personal accomplishment) and what employers can do to prevent it (not much, but letting workers set their own schedules helps). Personally, I think what needs to be done is to de-emphasize the value of always being on the job. I've gone decades being "available" what seems like 24/7, and it definitely wears on you.
