He's Just Expressing His Individuality

It's been my experience that colleges are super-tolerant towards people they may not want to be super-tolerant towards. Take the case of the UCLA slasher, a student who slashed the throat of a fellow student in a lab for no apparent reason. The stabber turns out to be a guy who's long been known to act like a weirdo, who occasionally bursts out into nonsensical rants, who would wake up at 3 am and start "tidying up" other students' stuff. And a professor reported some of the stabber's weirdness to the college administration 10 months ago. The school, of course, did nothing about it, and, citing privacy concerns, won't talk about it. But if you're crazy and want to do something horrible, enroll in college; they'll never report you.
