Tesla's auto-pilot feature's woes have been well-documented. One thing that's almost escaped mention, though, is how all of these crashes are happening despite the cars having automatic braking. Think about it: A LOT of cars have that feature and it works. I have an older Volvo and it will engage the brakes if you get too close to what's in front of you. If Tesla's cars don't properly do that, well, that's a problem. A big problem, and a weird technical blind spot. (Los Angeles Times)
