Maybe The Idea Of Having A Chip Implanted Isn't Such A Paranoid Thing
-
Convenience comes at a price, and so we have more ultra-wideband (UWB) devices replacing car keys, door keys, credit cards, passwords, light switches, and other things you had to deal with, but at the cost of your privacy. Also, it really feels insecure. I can unlock my computer with my Apple Watch, sure, but I could also do it with either a password or Touch ID, and I'm not sure I NEEDED that extra convenience. Same for hotel room keys and car key fobs replaced by your cell phone. And what happens if your battery runs out? That being said, I admit I like paying for stuff with my watch or phone. I just don't need lights to turn on and off when I walk into a room. (Wall Street Journal)
