Everything You Know Is Wrong, again: New research suggests that HDL cholesterol -- the "good" cholesterol -- may not be good for you after all. They've been telling us for years that higher HDL is a good indicator that you're at lower risk of a heart attack, but that, according to this research, isn't true for Black adults, nor does it indicate lower risk of cardiovascular disease for anyone. Actually, they're not 100% sure about any of this, other than to say that the assumptions they've been making may (or may not) be inaccurate. Where does that leave us? Confused, as usual. (CNN)
