If you paid $599 for one of 900 hand-signed copies of Bob Dylan's new book, it was signed by an autopen, for which Dylan is apologizing and saying he had to use it because of vertigo. There will be refunds. But you can also talk about autographs in general -- I get that for some people, it's something to show that you once shared space with a famous person, but why an autograph? What's so special about that? (I've never even taken photos with celebrities, so I don't have them to post on Facebook to lord it over friends, and that's fine with me.
