Because Charging Wasn't Slow Enough Already
-
If you have an iPhone with fully updated iOS, you've probably noticed that it's taking longer for your phone to charge. And that's because, without telling you or alerting you so you could opt out first, they put in "clean energy charging," which delays charging so that it charges when you're on a "green" part of the grid and at a time when the grid's less overloaded. And that means it takes longer for the phone to charge. You can turn it off, though. Just so you know. (Washington Post)
