No Taxing Junior Mints -- Them's Real Food
-
Washington State has a new candy tax. But not all candy's being taxed. For example, Milky Ways aren't taxed but Three Musketeers bars are. What's the difference? Wheat. Why? Who the hell knows? They tried to come up with a definition of "candy" and failed. The mere printing and dissemination of the regulations, and the cost of enforcement, will probably eat up most of what they collect. Thanks to Bob Miller at KPAM/Portland for the link.
