The School Will Probably Give Her Extra Credit For Life Experience Now
-
She's been an illegal immigrant since she was 10, yet managed to get a high school education on the taxpayer's dime. And then she went to state college at subsidized in-state rates, because the school didn't check for legal status. She got arrested, but then she got a year's reprieve so she could finish college. And she disappeared, and now the police can't find her because she lied about where she lives. There are extenuating circumstances -- she was brought to the U.S. by her parents, she has very good grades and hasn't been trouble -- but the fact is that she's had plenty of chance to tell the truth and hasn't.
