I run every day, and it's hell on my joints. This guy suggests that people like me try something different: running on the balls of your feet. He's one of those guys who says you should wear "minimalist" shoes rather than the heavy, thick-soled shoes runners usually wear, and you're supposed to not strike on the heels. Kinda like tip-toes. I'm not sure I'm capable of doing that, and I know I'll look ridiculous, but if it helps relieve the pressure on my hips and knees, maybe it's worth the embarrassment.
