This article by the San Francisco Chronicle's movie critic Mick LaSalle is about how times have changed; now, actors in their 40s are depicted as young and just starting out, like Jennifer Aniston still playing young single women and Russell Crowe as the young, early Robin Hood. He makes a good point: In the old days, once an actor turned 30, he or she played adult roles and left the ingenue and youth roles behind. Maybe it's that boomers and Gen-Xers are in charge and they think being in your 40's is young.
