What? Not Tropicana Field?

Those ESPN: The Magazine rankings are out again, and they're kind of bogus overall, factoring in all sorts of things to find out the best franchises in sports. There's so much subjectiveness and apples-and-oranges stuff in there that it's not all that useful. On the other hand, it's fairly interesting to see the rankings of the best venues in American pro sports, and the number one experience, they say, is a ballgame at the Minnesota Twins' new Target Field, the newest park in baseball. And the hockey arena down the river in St. Paul, Xcel Energy Center, is ranked third overall, just behind Lambeau Field. I'm looking forward to seeing Target Field in a couple of weeks, and Lambeau is undeniably cool (I've been to the place, had dinner there, but haven't seen a game there). Seattle's Safeco's fourth, Philly's CBP is fifth (I'd rank it at least as highly, not because I'm a Phillies fan but because it really is a terrific place to see a game), and so on. Wrigley? Fenway? Dodger Stadium? Not in the top 10. (KMSP-TV (Fox 9)/Minneapolis; Thanks to Chris Murphy for the link)
