Where In The Constitution Is The Right To An iPhone?
-
A judge has approved the certification of a class action against Apple and AT&T over the iPhone, but it doesn't have anything directly to do with the fact that AT&T service sucks. Instead, it's about the fact that you buy an iPhone and you can't unlock it to work with other carriers, not legally, at least. And because, the plaintiffs assert, Apple secretly had a five year exclusivity deal with AT&T, once your two year contract expired, you were left with a brick if you wanted to move to T-Mobile. Of course, you COULD have jail-broken the thing for free and dropped in a T-Mobile SIM. And you COULD have bought another phone from another carrier. (San Francisco Chronicle)
