The story, as originally constituted: Before an NAACP audience, a USDA official talked about withholding help to a white farmer facing bankruptcy and ultimately shunting him off to a white examiner who might be inclined to "help his own kind." The official resigned. That's the initial story. And then, the whole context: The clip was from a speech in which she said she was WRONG to do what she did. She said she'd learned from it, and eventually became friends with the (now deceased) farmer, a fact corroborated by his widow. So... retractions? (Fox News; Mediaite)
