Go With Name-Brand Peanut Butter, Though. Seriously
-
Well, it's 2010, the economy isn't getting any better, and you're looking to save money. So, when you go to the grocery, you're eyeing house brands. This article lists five categories of grocery items where generic is about the same as name brand. I'll disagree with the cereal one -- the cheaper ones usually taste a little, you know, off -- but the rest is pretty much correct. One question, though: Other than Chiquita, what "name brand" produce is there? When I go to Ralphs, the produce is in bins and there's no name brand attached, nor is there a "generic" equivalent.
