Used to be, you'd get rid of a car once the odometer rolled over to 100,000 miles. Nowadays, you keep it until it hits 200,000 miles. One reason is obviously the economy; the other is that they make cars to last longer. Good thing, too. Nobody wants to have to scrape up another down payment for another car if they don't have to.
