Don't Ask, Don't Tell has been ruled unconstitutional by a federal judge. This is likely not over, but the judge ruled that the policy violated the soldiers' First Amendment rights and didn't preserve military readiness. You have your opinions on this, of course; mine is that it's 2010 and there's no valid constitutional reason to ban gays from anything. And if Obama's really in favor of getting rid of the policy, what's he waiting for, and why is HIS Justice Department still defending it? (Los Angeles Times)
