Paging Strom Thurmond And Robert Byrd
-
This MSNBC interview with nine retiring Senators addresses one problem that everybody knows about but nobody talks about: when Senators stay in the job too long. When you have Senators in their 80s or even 90s, and their faculties are declining and they're further and further out of touch with modern society, is that fair to their constituents or the country? Those constituents CAN, of course, vote them out, but they don't. Are term limits in order? (MSNBC)
